About The Position

The Market Sales Manager (MSM) at Provident Bank is responsible for driving business development and achieving growth and revenue goals within their assigned market. This role involves strategic business planning, building a referral network, and actively participating in community and business organizations to enhance the bank's reputation. The MSM leads and develops branch employees, ensuring operational proficiency and adherence to bank policies while fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 7 years' experience in a retail sales/service environment.
  • 3 years' management/supervisory experience.
  • 3 years business development experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to follow safety and security practices and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and identify customer needs.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on needs-based sales opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong technology skills and ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • Intermediate knowledge in the Microsoft Office environment.
  • Ability to evaluate performance feedback and effectively coach direct and indirect reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop small business and commercial business through Centers of Influence (COI) referrals and networking.
  • Execute business planning and tactical strategies to achieve branch growth goals.
  • Oversee branch sales and service responsibilities as required.
  • Acquire new consumer and business prospects and expand customer relationships.
  • Lead and mentor branch managers and staff to achieve sales and operational excellence.
  • Monitor and control revenue and expense budget targets.
  • Promote professional growth of employees through development activities.
