The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch. The National Geospatial Programs subdivision (NGP) serves as the technical and programmatic advisor to the National Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) Agency (NGA) and other mission partners involved in the end-to-end GEOINT mission. Join us as and become a leader charged with enabling NGA in its efforts to define the future of the GEOINT Enterprise and ensure NGA is postured to be the leader across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG). The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site in Springfield, Virginia.

  • Leading technical studies that will impact future space and ground architectures
  • Collaborating with Aerospace subject matter experts, government, and SETA across the GEOINT enterprise to close end-to-end missions
  • Assisting and advising the development of systems engineering expertise, analytic capability development, and geospatial intelligence budget planning and programming
  • Identifying, tasking and tracking Aerospace Engineering Technology Group resources in support of multiple deliveries to the government customer
  • Maintain a working knowledge of both current and future GEOINT acquisitions programs including relevant advanced technology
  • Tracking and reporting Aerospace contributions to the GEOINT community to the customer and Aerospace management
  • Bring the best of Aerospace's engineering matrix to bear in support of the portfolio and oversee all efforts in your area of responsibility
  • Bachelors in engineering, computer science, or other relevant technical field from an accredited institution and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge regarding NGA, NRO, their common interfaces and lines of demarcation
  • Ability to lead multi-segmented, disbursed and multidisciplinary teams to accomplish a common objective
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation of end-to-end (space / ground / end-user) GEOINT architectures, satellite design, systems engineering, network architectures, and/or sensor integration technologies
  • Familiarity with technical program management, DoD & IC budget programming, requirements, and acquisition processes
  • This position requires local travel in the Washington DC area and occasional domestic and international travel
  • This position requires a current and active TS/SBI/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the U.S. government.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
  • Advanced degree in GEOINT-related disciplines.
  • Expertise and experience in geospatial intelligence CONOPS, collection systems, architectures, operations, and the GEOINT user community
