The Director of the Futures Division is responsible for overseeing the clearing process for trades executed by clients and brokers. This role requires a strong understanding of clearing processes and involves managing client accounts, ensuring trades are cleared and booked correctly, and leading projects to streamline operations. The Director will also liaise with exchanges and other departments to resolve trade issues and stay updated on industry regulations.

  • Ensure all trades are cleared, allocated, and booked correctly in client accounts on trade date.
  • Liaise with exchanges, carry brokers, and clients on trade issues and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Master firms' back-office systems and middleware such as GMI, LISA, DUCO, and RPA.
  • Assist the Clearing manager in leading and managing projects, driving automation, and streamlining clearing processes.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to team members to help them resolve issues requiring in-depth understanding of the process.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry and regulatory developments, including prompt replies to exchanges, regulators, and auditors.
  • Work closely with the Operations team and other departments such as Front Office, Compliance, and Risk.
  • Cover the 12 - 8 pm shift to ensure seamless end-of-day processing.
  • Be flexible to work on US holidays on a rotational basis.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience including working knowledge of GMI, LISA, and DUCO.
  • Firm understanding of Futures and Options trade life cycle and expertise in break resolution.
  • Well-developed management skills and relevant experience managing operational functions.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Dynamic and proactive team player with the ability to identify process inefficiencies to improve capacity, efficiency, and control.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative.
  • Team-oriented with strong integrity and professionalism.
  • Proper escalation of issues.
  • Strong time management skills to meet time-critical deadlines and priorities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, notably the ability to clearly articulate issues and influence resolution.
