We are currently seeking a Data Science-Programming Intern to join our Engineering Methods & Systems Team based in Houston, Texas. Please note this is a Pipeline requisition created for future hiring in Summer 2026.

Requirements

• Entering 2nd year of college or higher and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (with specialization into Data Science or Data Analytics preferred).
• Effective communicator (spoken and written).
• Able to collaborate and be nimble to support others when necessary.
• Problem solver with a strong desire to improve efficiency.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to data analytical and/or programming projects.
• Familiarity with querying in SQL, Oracle, or Access is strongly recommended.
• Familiarity with PowerBI is recommended.
• Basic programming skills in VBA, VB.NET, Python, or C# is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience using engineering systems such as Aspen Basic Engineering, Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation, Smart 3D, and various in-house developed systems.
• Contribute to innovative engineering projects and learn how to deliver exceptional value to clients.
• Explore the underlying data behind an engineering system, present a data auditing or visualization proposal, and develop it into a working proof-of-concept.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to promote effective communication and facilitate problem-solving.
• Develop and demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
