Responsibilities
- Repairs, replaces or adjusts damaged furniture with tools and chemicals.
- Mixes and blends wood stains to match original finish.
- Removes furniture finishes by using applicable chemicals and/or sanding.
- Paints, glazes and/or refinishes furniture to original vendor specifications.
- Use workroom tools to spray fabric and shrink wrap goods.
- Complete appropriate paperwork.
- May occasionally need to travel to customers' homes for repairs.
- Ensures quality and timely completion of work.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years related experience.
- Ability to use work room tools and assemble furniture.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
