Job Overview: The role of the Furniture Repair Lead is to proactively plan, execute, and assist with overseeing all shop operations in conjunction with the Furniture Repair Management team. The Furniture Repair Lead will assist with overseeing the Furniture Repair Shop and coaching the Furniture Repair Technicians on how to perform repairs for all merchandise. The Furniture Repair Lead will also coordinate and work with multiple departments to help resolve customer issues, problems with merchandise, inventory control issues, and any other problem that may occur. Job Expectations: Commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness. Establishes schedules and provides continual training to team members with an emphasis on safety and service. Appraises employee performance, communicates goals and expectations, provide honest feedback and coaches team members. Communicates, leads, and develops teamwork with the Furniture Repair Technicians. Addresses complaints and resolves problems as needed. Coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency and exceed customer service expectations. Proactively manage changes in operation of the Furniture Repair Shop. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the operation of the Furniture Repair Shop. Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Positive attitude with strong inter-personal skills. Ability to follow directions and work independently Professional with good communication skills and customer service experience Professional Appearance Demonstrate high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times. Possess excellent organizational skills. Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with the warehouse management team
