About The Position

Responsible for repairing furniture to new condition, refinishing to include upholstery, furniture and leather repair. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-3 years experience in major and minor touch up and repairs to furniture and bedding to include expertise in wood.
• Must obtain PIE license within 30 days.
• Maintain and operate order picker, tugger, forklift and other industrial equipment.
• Federated Systems: RDS and RF scanners and other systems as necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Regular walking, standing, hearing and talking.
• May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling or crouching.
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
• Sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail and effective organization skills.
• Works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for fill ins, burn ins, blending and fine finishing to include complete repair mechanisms, and refinishing.
• Ability to fix to new condition, most major repairs.
• Ability to perform minor and major touch up and repairs to furniture and bedding.
• Prepare paperwork, chargebacks and other required documents.
• Ability to meet and maintain productivity requirements.
• Ability to evaluate damages and defects.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
