As our Product Quality Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring uncompromising quality across our North Carolina manufacturing partners. You will safeguard our brand’s reputation for excellence, traveling regularly to upholstery and case goods workshops to conduct inspections, partner with artisans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role is located in central North Carolina, with regular travel required across our network of North Carolina production partners. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in quality management within high-end furniture, luxury goods, or related manufacturing industries
  • Deep knowledge of upholstery, woodworking, joinery, finishes, and premium textiles (e.g., velvets, mohairs, linens, leathers)
  • Proven track record of managing QA/QC in a multi-partner manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and willing to spend significant time on factory floors observing and guiding processes
  • Working knowledge of digital QC platforms such as Qarma or similar inspection/reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build trust and accountability across diverse production teams
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently across North Carolina to collaborate directly with production partners and artisans

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to run quality control across multiple North Carolina production partners, ensuring every piece meets Maiden Home’s luxury standards for craftsmanship, materials, and finish
  • Conduct regular onsite inspections, audits, and quality checks within upholstery and case goods workshops
  • Partner directly with artisans and production leaders to embed quality standards and resolve issues in real time
  • Implement consistent inspection protocols, trained production staff on quality checkpoints, and established a system to track and address defects, resulting in fewer reworks and higher first-pass yield.
  • Conduct regular onsite inspections and quality checks within upholstery and case goods workshops.
  • Balance production efficiency with preserving the integrity of luxury standards.
  • Analyze defect and warranty trends to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive measurable improvements.
  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships with artisans, upholsterers, woodworkers, design engineers, and customer experience teams—acting as the critical link between craftsmanship on the floor and customer feedback in the field.
  • Partner directly with production leaders to embed quality standards and resolve issues in real time.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure textiles, leathers, woods, and finishes meet brand requirements before entering production
  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders (Operations, Product, Sourcing) —acting as the critical link between craftsmanship on the floor and customer feedback in the field.
