About The Position

The position focuses on creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The role involves establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customer return. The employee will be responsible for achieving sales and profit goals established for the department while monitoring and controlling all established quality assurance standards. Supporting the day-to-day functions of the department operations is essential, as is embracing the Customer 1st strategy and encouraging associates to deliver excellent customer service. The employee is expected to demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Requirements

  • Minimum effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
  • Must be 18 or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Desired retail experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Second language: speaking, reading, and/or writing.

  • Inform and educate department associates about current, upcoming, and special in-store promotions.
  • Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note any discrepancies.
  • Observe scheduled shift operating hours.
  • Demonstrate creative merchandising.
  • Condition all products in assigned sections according to company policy.
  • Understand and perform cashier functions.
  • Ensure compliance with merchandising, customer service, labor control, and safety rules.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report all safety risks, issues, and illegal activity.
