About The Position

The Furniture Delivery Dispatcher at WCC Furniture & Mattress Center is responsible for coordinating daily delivery operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage a fleet of drivers and maintain customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a logistics/transportation role required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

• Furniture Delivery or Furniture Delivery Dispatcher experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and schedule deliveries for drivers, ensuring optimal routes and timely deliveries.
• Communicate with drivers to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure successful delivery completion.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery status, damages, and delivery team performance according to delivery procedures/standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any delivery-related problems or delays.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Manager, Parts & Service Manager, and Operations Manager to ensure the smooth flow of deliveries.
• Track fleet in real time to provide accurate feedback to customers regarding their deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction through timely deliveries.
• Ensure drivers are compliant with safety and regulatory requirements.
