About The Position

We build furniture by hand. This is a physically demanding and fast paced job. You must have a drive and sense of urgency to meet daily production goals. This position works independently or within a team to assemble quality, upholstered furniture. You must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs, stand on your feet for 10 hours a day, and use your hands and fingers to grip, pull, and tug on fabric and leather. Must be comfortable using power tools, air gun and other tools required to do the job. 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday (mandatory overtime may apply on Fridays based on production needs) 5:00am - 3:30pm.

Requirements

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Completion of in-house training curriculum
• Basic computer skills
• Have color vision for cushion processing position
• Achieve performance standards

Responsibilities

• Work in a team atmosphere
• Perform any position within the cell as needed
• Proper use of Kan Ban containers
• Upholster furniture components according to specifications
• Assemble furniture components by upholstery notes
• Validate unit cover to ticket in each batch
• Coordinate work flow in cell
• Insert stuffing materials into cover components
• Assemble components into completed unit
• Package finished products
