About the position

The Furniture Builder and Recovery Associate position at IKEA involves ensuring the overall impression of furniture is maintained at a high level throughout the store. The role includes performing maintenance checks on displays for quality, appearance, function, and safety, building furniture for displays, and partnering with the returns team to repurpose damaged products. This position is part of a team that emphasizes cutting waste while maintaining quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the overall impression of our furniture is at an extremely high level throughout the store
  • Performs maintenance checks on displays for quality, appearance, function, and safety
  • Builds furniture for displays and ensures it is accurately presented
  • Partners with returns team on all damaged products and determines the best way to repurpose returned products

Requirements

  • 1 year work experience preferred
  • Experience building, repurposing, and reassembling furniture preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
