About The Position

Furnishings Manager:
(2+ years thoroughly documented & relevant work experience)
• No license/certification needed
• Ability to manage, inventory and distribute furnishings located in warehouse and 12 dormitories.
• Ability to conduct physical inventories as described in AFI 32-6000, CE Housing Management.
• Ability to request, receive, issue, store, and coordinate delivery and pickup of all Government-owned furnishings used in authorized facilities within established timelines.
• Ability to identify and report suspected abuse or loss of property for items damaged, destroyed, or lost.
• Ability to purchase, receipt, issue, installation, warranty tracking, maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Ability to prepare and update annually one- and five-year long-range furnishings plans.
• Ability to submit furnishings budgets to the Housing Chief as required.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, navigating throughout Dyess AFB on both paved and gravel roads.
