The Furnace/Palletizer Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the furnace and palletizing equipment to ensure consistent production flow, quality output, and adherence to safety and process standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Operating and monitoring furnace and palletizer equipment to maintain proper temperature, feed rates, and product flow.
  • Loading raw materials into the furnace and ensuring correct material mixtures according to production specifications.
  • Inspecting product quality at various stages and adjusting machinery as needed to maintain standards.
  • Monitoring system controls, recording data, and reporting any deviations or malfunctions to the supervisor, engineering, and maintenance.
  • Performing routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment.
  • Stacking, wrapping, and labeling pallets according to company standards and preparing them for storage or shipment.
  • Ensuring the work area is kept clean, safe, and organized.
  • Following all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout processes.
  • Collaborating with team members and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Assisting with inventory control and material tracking as required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret production instructions, safety guidelines, and quality specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and possesses the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to move up to 50lbs.
  • Manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to wear PPE.
  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
  • Capable of making repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting, and walking up and down stairs.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, if required.
  • Comfortable with exposure to high temperatures, noise, and moving machinery.
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience, preferred.
