As a Furnace Operator at Linde Advanced Material Technologies, you will exhibit strong proficiency in interpreting and following Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules to effectively execute daily tasks, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. You will support and participate in current and new safety initiatives/policies as business needs arise. Following step-by-step instructions detailed by senior operators in turnover reports, written job instructions, or verbal instructions is essential, as is the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously. You must demonstrate strong batch chemistry math skills, including the ability to accurately perform calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and weight percentage conversions across various units of measure. The work environment is typically temperature controlled but can often be hot, dirty, dusty, and humid, requiring the use of a respirator, flame-resistant (FR) clothing, and appropriate safety gear. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining large-scale powder production equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, power cabinets, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and pallet jacks, while ensuring safe and efficient operation in compliance with company procedures and safety standards. Completing minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed will also be part of your responsibilities.
