About The Position

As a Furnace Operator for High Temp Atomization at Linde Advanced Material Technologies, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining large-scale powder production equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, and other machinery. You will interpret and follow Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. The role requires strong batch chemistry math skills and the ability to perform calculations accurately. You will work in a challenging environment that may be hot, dirty, and noisy, while wearing appropriate safety gear. Additionally, you will support safety initiatives and complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow complex work instructions accurately.
  • Proficient in performing mathematical operations across all units of measure.
  • Experience operating plant equipment and industrial vehicles.
  • Physically capable of performing tasks involving frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to safely wear and work while using a full-face or half-face respirator.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • 0-5 years of experience in a related manufacturing or industrial field for level I Technician.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience for level II Technician.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience for level III Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit strong proficiency in interpreting and following Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules.
  • Support and participate in current and new safety initiatives/policies.
  • Follow step-by-step instructions from senior operators and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate strong batch chemistry math skills for accurate calculations.
  • Operate and maintain large-scale powder production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs.
