About The Position

As a Furnace Operator at Linde Advanced Material Technologies, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining large-scale powder production equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, power cabinets, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and pallet jacks. You will ensure safe and efficient operation in compliance with company procedures and safety standards. The role requires strong proficiency in interpreting and following Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules. You will also support and participate in safety initiatives and policies as business needs arise. The work environment can be challenging, often hot, dirty, dusty, and humid, requiring the use of safety gear such as respirators and flame-resistant clothing. You will need to demonstrate strong batch chemistry math skills and complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow complex work instructions.
  • Proficiency in performing mathematical operations across all units of measure.
  • Experience operating plant equipment and industrial vehicles.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks involving frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to safely wear and work while using a full-face or half-face respirator.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • 0-5 years of experience in a related manufacturing or industrial field for level I Technician.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related manufacturing or industrial field for level II Technician.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related manufacturing or industrial field for level III Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and follow Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules.
  • Support and participate in safety initiatives and policies.
  • Follow instructions from senior operators in turnover reports and written job instructions.
  • Perform calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and weight percentage conversions.
  • Operate and maintain large-scale powder production equipment.
  • Complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs.
