About the role
Role Description, Skills, Experience and Qualifications required Summary
Operates the furnaces in a safe, efficient manner to produce liquid smoke to meet customer commitments, company objectives and quality standards.

Requirements

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
• Ability kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime and use a flexible schedule.
• PFT & respirator fit test required
• Working at heights / climbing ladders
• Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist the furnace operator with all aspects calciner operations.
• Perform necessary tests to maintain optimum production & quality.
• Record operational data.
• Rod out furnace per schedule
• Transfer products from tank farm as required.
• Grease, oil, & lube furnaces, as required.
• Perform scheduled sanitation duties.
• Maintain neat, clean, and organized furnace and control room.
• Comply with all corporate safety and environmental regulations and procedures.
• Complies with all HACCP Food Safety procedures, GMP’S, and other guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Load char.
• Back up for dryer operator
