Funeral Support Supervisor

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a compassionate, service-driven individual to join our team as a Funeral Support Supervisor at Skylawn Funeral Home. This role is ideal for someone who leads with empathy, communicates with clarity, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You will work directly with client families during their time of need and play a key role in ensuring every service is carried out with dignity, respect, and exceptional care. The Funeral Support Supervisor supports location management by overseeing daily operations, guiding Staff Associates, and ensuring that every family receives a meaningful and seamless memorial experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and hold others accountable
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Effective problem-solving abilities and sound judgment
- High level of compassion, integrity, and emotional resilience
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Commitment to delivering exceptional service to families during sensitive and emotional moments
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily service and staffing schedules to ensure proper coverage and smooth operations
- Collaborate closely with the Funeral Home Manager to set goals, maintain compliance, and uphold exceptional customer service standards
- Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with client families
- Demonstrate reverence and respect for the deceased at all times
- Assist funeral directors with on-site events, including services, arrangement conferences, and other operational needs
- Lead, train, and support Staff Associates through regular coaching, performance feedback, and accountability conversations
- Inspect staff work, address questions or concerns, and review/approve weekly timecards
- Model professionalism, self-management, and effective problem-solving in all aspects of the role
