The Funeral Director compassionately facilitates funeral arrangement discussions with the deceased's next of kin and presides over visitation, funeral, and graveside services in accordance with family wishes, company expectations, and local, state, or federal laws. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all mortuary, health, and vital statistics regulations within the funeral establishment(s). Key duties include conducting arrangement conferences, directing services, and performing event planning tasks such as resource ordering, producing memorial products, and preparing event rooms. The Funeral Director also interacts with families and guests to fulfill death care requests and obtain leads for pre-need services. New associates receive guidance as they learn to apply their licensure in a business environment, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
