Requirements

Must hold a valid Funeral Director License.
Bachelor’s degree in mortuary science or equivalent experience.
Exceptional communication and listening skills.
Diverse experience in funeral service and a strong understanding of the industry.
Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to serving families.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Conduct funeral ceremonies based on family preferences and cultural customs.
Meet with families to gather information, provide options, and offer emotional support.
Coordinate logistics, including transportation, paperwork, and memorial details.
Prepare and embalm the deceased according to industry standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate records and compliance with state and federal laws.
Support families following the service with grief resources.
Mentor and provide oversight to junior staff.
