As a Licensed Funeral Director, you will manage, prepare, and direct funeral services, ensuring that all aspects of the service meet the highest standards of quality and compassion. You will conduct and coordinate the delivery of remains to the mortuary and prepare remains for services and interment. It is essential to demonstrate our Company Core Values of Compassion, Quality, Honesty, Integrity, and Professionalism in performing all aspects of your position. Your role will involve providing the highest quality services and products to satisfy the needs of all client families. You will maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with families, co-workers, and management. The ability to deliver premier funeral services from the first call to final disposition is crucial, as is maintaining consistent positive reviews and family satisfaction. You will also participate in market outreach activities in the community, including presentations and event participation within local organizations. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will participate in the general upkeep of the facilities, grounds, and company vehicles. The position requires occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects up to approximately 250 pounds, as well as carrying objects weighing up to approximately 30 pounds for short distances. Comfort with technology in family conferences, office settings, and personal smartphone apps is necessary, as is the willingness to share your personal cellphone number with client families. You must be capable of communicating effectively with management and supervised employees and be free from judgment-impairing conditions, diseases, or addictions. The position includes shared on-call rotation hours that may involve evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
