As a licensed Funeral Director, you will compassionately facilitate funeral arrangement discussions with the deceased's next of kin and preside over visitation, funeral, and graveside services in accordance with family wishes, company expectations, and local, state, or federal laws. You may also perform embalming responsibilities and ensure compliance with all mortuary, health, and vital statistics regulations within the funeral establishment. Your role will involve receiving or initiating calls to the deceased's next of kin, obtaining or confirming contact information, discussing needs, scheduling appointments, and caring for the deceased respectfully. You will also be responsible for directing services, confirming arrangements, and presiding as Master of Ceremonies for services. Additionally, you will perform event planning responsibilities, including resource planning and ordering necessary items for services, and may represent the company at community or charity events.
