The part-time funeral assistant/attendant position provides support to the Manager/Funeral Directors at the location, interacts with the public, and offers information regarding funeral and cremation services, as well as other related topics. Responsibilities include courteously answering phones, administrative support, assisting with funeral, memorial, and other ceremonies as requested by funeral home clients and management, and responding to general inquiries. Duties may also include decedent removal and, depending on the location, assisting with lifting, carrying, transporting, and preparation of decedents. The Funeral Assistant duties must be performed consistently with the company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.
