About The Position

The Funding Specialist is responsible for funding auto loans while maintaining the highest level of integrity. The specialist evaluates all documents, programs, and verifications for validity prior to funding the loan. This team member interfaces with and provides superior customer service to internal and external customers (e.g., credit center personnel, automobile dealers, loan applicants). This is an on-site, full-time role.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Auto Originations/Funding experience.
Proficient in basic PC applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Intermediate to advanced typing and data entry processing skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Ability to respond to internal and external requests as needed.
Frequent but minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking.
Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture are required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

Communicate with originators, sales, titles, and leadership on loan funding statuses.
Manage relationships with originators.
Maintain accurate records of all loan funding activities.
Accountable for managing the Auto Loan origination process from application review through funding.
Ensure adherence to internal policy and external regulations.
Support respectful applicant and dealer experiences throughout the origination funding process.
Identify processes and control improvements; communicate findings to the respective manager.
Assist with questions, calls, emails, faxes, and serve as an overall go-to person for funding analysts.
Perform other assigned projects and tasks.
