About The Position

A well‑respected Michigan credit union is looking for a Funding Assistant to support their indirect lending team. You’ll work with auto and RV dealership loan files, ensuring documents are accurate, complete, and ready for funding.

Requirements

• 2+ years lending experience (Auto/RV preferred; mortgage or home equity also works)
• Strong attention to detail and urgency
• Strong Excel skills
• Basic understanding of lending or banking terms

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming email communication
• Work heavily in Excel
• Communicate with the underwriting and funding teams
• Review and verify loan documents for accuracy and fraud prevention
• Audit items like income verification, dealer paperwork, and loan applications
• Enter loan data and documents into the Loan Application System
• Prepare payoff quotes, payoff letters, and rate change agreements
• Help manage payoff checks and daily loan pipeline reports
• Handle ELT, UCC filings, and lien releases
• Disburse funds to dealerships
• Scan, sort, and enter documents into the system
• Verify insurance, registration, and other required documentation
• Keep communication clear between all parties
