About The Position

The Funding Analyst is responsible for analyzing and processing a significant volume of Retail Installment Contracts daily, prepared by our extensive network of dealerships, for input into our LOS and Core System. This role acts as the single point of verification for all Retail Installment Contract data and consumer application data within the Dealer Finance Department.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma; Associates Degree from an Accredited Institution is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years in a professional work environment required, preferably within a bank or financial institution.
  • Requires entry level/basic professional skills or knowledge, with the preference of 1-2 years of experience outlined.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic to Intermediate PC Skills, including all Microsoft Applications (primarily Excel/Word), and strong data entry skills.
  • Basic Accounting skills and firm mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Review contracts and documentation packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and adherence to applicable state laws.
  • Input data into the LOS from the Validation and Discounting functions, while cross-referencing Credit Application, Decision Notification, and Retail Installment Contract data.
  • Communicate efficiently with dealerships to clear identified discrepancies and conditions of approval/counteroffers.
  • Exhaust the problem inventory resolution phase on each contract to contribute to the expeditious funding process.
  • Prepare daily General Ledger Entries in the Core System and calculate Dealer Reserves.
  • Maintain logs for tracking discrepancies/problem inventory associated with dealerships.
  • Answer inquiries from the Dealer Network regarding Indirect Lending Policy and current Dealer Finance Rate Promotions.
  • Data enter Roll-Its for auto-approved contracts meeting specific requirements.
  • Prepare documents for loan payments and payoffs and process Hold/Release Forms.
  • Participate in career development initiatives to expand knowledge base of Indirect Lending.
  • Engage in short and long term projects varying in scope and complexity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management, including preparation of reports on daily contract volume.
