About The Position

Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part Time Clinical Instructors interested in teaching students in our Bachelors of Science in Nursing program. The clinical instructor will implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession. This role involves planning clinical experiences, providing direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students, and developing written clinical assignments consistent with students' knowledge base and skill competency. The instructor will also evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and may teach didactic course content under supervision.

Requirements

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • An unencumbered professional nursing license.
  • At least two years professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites.

Responsibilities

  • Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
  • Assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
  • Plans clinical experiences for and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care.
  • Evaluates and provides documented feedback to students on performance based on course objectives.
  • Is available for remediation of students as required.
  • Orients and maintains current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Develops and posts written clinical assignments consistent with students' knowledge base and skill competency.
  • Grades homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
  • Keeps course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.

Benefits

  • Expected salary range is between $65 per hour and $97.50 per hour, adjusted based on job-related factors.
