The IT internship at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is designed to complement development-oriented studies with practical experience in various areas such as application development, digital advisory, cybersecurity, information governance and preservation, data, and economics. Interns will work under the supervision of experienced ITD staff members at the IMF headquarters in Washington DC. The internship offers hands-on experience in emerging technologies and opportunities to rotate through different cybersecurity roles, gaining exposure to multiple aspects of the field. Projects may include process documentation, coding and testing activities, vulnerability management, and research on generative AI technologies in GovTech and public digital finance.
