POSITION OVERVIEW The Functional Safety (FS) Manager II is a specialist responsible for managing all PS&S engineering activities for any assigned program.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in Safety Engineering roles.
Comprehension of TIER 1 and OEM FS-relevant processes and standards.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as necessary.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Cert. Safety Engineer).
Familiarity with safety engineering frameworks (e.g., ISO26262).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver aligned FS & progress for GENTEX projects, which is accomplished by: Identifying, planning & scheduling all FS tasks for existing and new programs.
Aligning and documenting the strategy on how planned FS activities will be executed.
Defining and tracking valuable FS & KPIs for assigned programs.
Perform proactive communication, interpretation, documentation & delegation, which is accomplished by: Identifying and managing program stakeholders for the planned PS&S activities.
Delegating the planned activities to other team members.
Other duties as assigned.
