About The Position

Spurwink is looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals who want to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends. You will receive evidenced-based training in the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model as you work with families. Extensive research has proven the effectiveness of FFT. You will empower families to address challenging and/or problematic behavior and to help youth aged 10 - 18 make life-transforming changes. The course of FFT treatment is 3-6 months. This position includes an $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in 4 installments of $1250 paid upon ninety days, six months, nine months, and one year of full-time employment. This sign-on bonus applies to new hires. You may be eligible for additional compensation by exceeding billable and model fidelity expectations.

Requirements

• LCSW, LMSW-cc, LCPC, LCPC-c, LMFT, or LMFT-c required.
• Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule including late afternoons or evenings.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

• Experience with family therapy or similar clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical treatment using the FFT treatment model and principles.
• Leverage strengths and focus on the positive during family meetings.
• Interrupt blame and negativity in family meetings.
• Change focus and reframe discussions as necessary.
