About The Position

Quantiphi is seeking a Functional Data Domain Lead – Investments to drive the design, integration, and governance of investment data across the enterprise. This individual will act as a strategic liaison between the Investment, Technology, and Data Engineering teams, ensuring that data integrity, accessibility, and analytics capabilities align with overall investment strategies and organizational objectives. This role requires deep domain expertise in investment data management, strong stakeholder engagement, and a proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable data and technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience in investment data management or financial data architecture.
  • Strong understanding of investment data, portfolio analytics, and financial reporting processes.
  • Proven experience leading data integration and data governance initiatives across complex environments.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and modern data platforms.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.
  • Exposure to cloud-based data ecosystems (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Familiarity with insurance or financial services investment domains.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Investment, Technology, and Data teams to ensure data strategy alignment.
  • Partner with Investment teams to understand their data, analytics, and portfolio management needs.
  • Collaborate with IT and architecture teams to design and implement technology solutions supporting investment strategies.
  • Oversee the integration of investment data from multiple sources into centralized platforms for enhanced analysis and reporting.
  • Lead initiatives around data quality, lineage, and governance within the investment data domain.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies relevant to insurance and investment management (e.g., ML, AI, cloud computing).
  • Contribute to the development of a technology roadmap to support future investment needs and data-driven decision-making.
  • Effectively communicate project updates, challenges, and outcomes to executive stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage risks, developing mitigation plans to ensure project success.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex financial and data challenges.
  • Possess hands-on experience with querying and analyzing data using SQL (or similar languages).
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
