About The Position

The Functional Area Supervisor (FAS)/Office Supervisor is a permanent, full-time position supporting the overall mission of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by facilitating operations at a local USCIS Field Office. As an FAS, your responsibilities would include assigning, monitoring, and reviewing work of department staff, reporting daily production statistics to Site Manager, prioritizing workloads and ensuring work is completed in a timely manner, reallocating resources as needed to meet goals established by USCIS, ensuring team completes all work assignments accurately, including daily time sheets, monitoring attendance and absences, facilitating the processing of priority assignments from USCIS, identifying and addressing issues in work performance, scheduling contractor staff, approving time off, initiating and implementing disciplinary actions, mentoring staff, collaborating with Site Manager to ensure best practices are in place and updating them as needed, training new employees, creating training plans, creating/updating written standard operating procedures, participating in meetings with government personnel, and serving as Point of Contact for site operations in Site Manager’s absence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of related experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance under the Department of Homeland Security from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
  • Ability to read and understand proficiently in English
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. or more in a physical environment
  • Ability to perform tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching

Responsibilities
