About The Position

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Functional Analyst / Trainer. This position involves creating training slides and content for software applications, delivering classroom training or formal presentations, and engaging with customers to understand software system needs. The role requires developing system use cases, participating in scrum calls, and maintaining DOD mandated certifications. The position is remote and full-time, requiring a Secret Security Clearance and a BS degree in a relevant field.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience.
• BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
• Secret Security Clearance.
• Per DoD 8140 Requirements, must possess one of these Certifications (or higher): Security+ or GSEC.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with online (virtual classroom) delivery of training.

Responsibilities

• Create training slides and content for software applications.
• Deliver classroom training or formal presentations, with a preference for online delivery.
• Engage with customers to understand software system needs and develop requirements for system or application changes.
• Develop system use cases to elaborate on user roles and job functions.
• Apply experience in customer industry to provide context and ensure problem elaboration.
• Handle customer interactions with development teams for optimal discussions and outcomes.
• Develop slide decks, conduct research on unfamiliar topics, and coordinate with subject matter experts.
• Participate in daily stand-up scrum calls, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Maintain DOD mandated certifications such as Security+.
