About The Position

As our Fun Express Sales Specialist , you will be responsible for working with Fun Express sales employees to assist with mid-sized and l arge ($1M+) commercial customers via telephone or in person to assist them in sales or event promotions and to advance their expanded use of Fun Express product lines. You will develop promotions for large accounts that may be expanded to be used by smaller accounts and a ttend trade shows to market Fun Express merchandise, develop new customer relationships and cultivate existing relationships. Detailed Description Principal Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions Assists the Fun Express Sales team in maximizing customer business and profitability Establishes and maintains an ongoing relationship with existing large corporate Fun Express customers, by phone or in person (mainly dealing with corporate buyers, CEO’s, and VP’s), in order to assess customer product needs, recommend promotions, and expand the purchase of merchandise Analyzes sales data from previous year to review with the sales team to help create product line presentations Plays a key role in negotiations, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to secure favorable terms, resolve conflicts, and drive mutually beneficial agreements Works with Marketing on pricing for custom product presentations Works closely with the sales team and Merchandising in placing orders to meet customer’s required ship dates Assists in container drop shipment programs with customers Coordinates between customer and Fun Express for EDI Makes outbound calls with new customers to establish their marketing needs Travels occasionally to market Fun Express merchandise and expand the existing customer base and scale of business by prospecting new markets and meeting smaller or new customers Assists customers in the resolution of problems, ensuring customer satisfaction Ensures that individual orders are correctly filled to the customer’s satisfaction Becomes familiar with Fun Express product at a level which one can make product suggestions and replacements i.e. upsell Creates and executes email campaigns Creates customer/market specific marketing pieces Manages email database and sales reporting Maintains regular and predictable attendance Abides by all policies and procedures of Fun Express and Oriental Trading Company Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors Marginal Functions Assists with the coordination, merchandising and staging of trade show booths Performs other related duties and projects as assigned Here’s what you need to join the fun: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Marketing, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one year experience in the Fun Express area and/or four years experience within a comparable business setting
  • One year successful inbound and outbound telephone sales experience is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
  • Ability to operate a CRT system, PC and various software and spreadsheet programs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to travel on occasion
  • Ability to handle customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to take the initiative to prospect new accounts
  • Ability to perform job in a safe manner
