About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: To assist all aspects of Big Cedar Lodge Fun Center. Including but not limited to bowling, ropes course, and go-cart track other activities. The primary responsibility is to ensure the areas overseen provide our guests with a safe and enjoyable experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Outgoing personality and willingness to provide excellent customer service to guests
  • Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups, guests, and associates of the organization.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Availability – Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays and understand the importance of working a scheduled shift, especially during black-out periods.
  • Work Environment – The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate may encounter while performing the essential functions of the job position.   • Other Skills and Abilities – The ability to work well in a team environment and prioritize a sense of urgency and real concern for overall guest satisfaction. Participate in team building events/activities on a regular basis.
  • Regularly walks, and stands.
  • Seldom/Never sits, does computer work, or lifts up to 50 lbs.
  • Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Operate indoor attractions year-round with consistency for positive guest experience.
  • Operate outdoor attractions during peak season(s) with consistency for positive guest experience.
  • Capable of participating in attraction operation including elevated and confined spaces.
  • Availability during nights, weekends and holidays is a must.
  • Perform front desk duties such as handling credit card transactions, keeping up with a waitlist, and filling out closing paperwork.
  • Wiping down, sweeping and moping lanes in the bowling alley.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Walking regularly to ensure space is in proper use and condition.
  • Maintain a clean environment for guests and associates.
  • Enhance guest experience through excellent customer service.
  • Assist with implementation of various activities for guests throughout all major holidays.
  • Possess reliable transportation to and from workspace.
