Fulton County is the most populated county in Georgia and currently ranks top in state's population density. This has created a very diverse agricultural industry with heavy educational and training needs in green industry and homeowner horticulture. In Fulton County, large sections of the population live in a designated food desert. One key effort to address this critical issue is the educational programming to citizens on establishing and maintaining community fruit and vegetable gardens. This enables local residents to have access to fresh fruits and vegetables for their daily diets.
