About The Position

Nada is an award-winning FinTech platform on a pioneering mission to unlock the $34 trillion in wealth trapped in homeowner equity. We originate Home Equity Agreements (HEAs), allowing homeowners to receive cash upfront in exchange for a portion of their home's future appreciation—eliminating the burden of monthly loan payments. As the first platform to secure SEC qualification for this innovative asset class, we also empower investors to access the residential real estate market through our managed funds at homeshares.co . Nada is a venture-backed (Series A) team building the infrastructure for the next major category in consumer finance. Role Summary: We are seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to join our small, high-velocity product squad. Reporting directly to our Head of Engineering, you will be the second engineering hire on a team that includes our Head of Product and Head of Design. You'll build and maintain a seamless journey for homeowners to explore, secure, and manage their home equity agreements. You'll also play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our HEA investment platform, homeshares.co This is a chance to build a product from 0 to 1, drive fintech innovation, and solve complex challenges. Full-stack development expertise - with a particular passion for front-end architecture and user experience-, a commitment to software development best practices, and a strong sense of ownership are essential.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
3+ years of experience as a software developer
Web development with React, NextJS, and CSS.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Experience with PostgreSQL.
Strong understanding of RESTful API development and third-party API integrations.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong work ethic
Self-starter with a genuine passion for software development
Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to many different personalities
Ability to provide accurate estimates and deliver high-quality code within deadlines
Uses AI coding tools daily (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
Knows how to prompt, iterate, and refine AI-generated code
Reviews, validates, and improves AI output rather than blindly accepting it

Nice To Haves

Experience working in fintech or investment platforms.
Prior experience working in a startup environment.
Prior experience with Vercel for frontend deployment.
Contributions to open-source projects, active participation in developer communities, and/or personal interest software project.
Experience with Django/Python

Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain seamless user journeys using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, and Vercel-backed services.
Design-to-Code: Collaborate with our Head of Design to turn high-fidelity prototypes into responsive, accessible web experiences.
Product Iteration: Work with the Head of Product to rapidly execute features that enhance the homeowner experience and platform capabilities.
AI-Native Engineering: Leverage AI development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, LLMs) to elevate your personal productivity and improve code quality.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, suggesting tools and processes to improve our development practices and efficiency.
