About The Position

A fast-growing AI-driven company in the mortgage technology space is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to join its core product team. This role focuses on building next-generation software that automates complex document review and underwriting processes. You will work closely with leadership, product, and machine learning teams to design and deliver scalable, high-impact features from end to end.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience in a production environment
  • Strong backend development experience with Go, Java, C++, or similar
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and data modeling
  • Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, S3)
  • Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments
  • Proven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results end-to-end

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python in data or machine learning environments (pandas, numpy)
  • Background in fintech, mortgage technology, or workflow automation platforms
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving ability with attention to edge cases
  • Product-focused mindset with emphasis on user experience
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with low ego and high ownership

Responsibilities

  • Own full lifecycle development from database design to frontend UI delivery
  • Build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex AI-driven decisions
  • Design and implement scalable backend systems using Go and PostgreSQL
  • Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate AI models into the core platform
  • Ensure high performance, availability, and scalability across large data sets
  • Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, documentation, and observability
  • Improve system monitoring, logging, and overall production stability
  • Partner cross-functionally with product and design teams to deliver user-focused solutions
