About The Position
A fast-growing AI-driven company in the mortgage technology space is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to join its core product team. This role focuses on building next-generation software that automates complex document review and underwriting processes. You will work closely with leadership, product, and machine learning teams to design and deliver scalable, high-impact features from end to end.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience in a production environment
- Strong backend development experience with Go, Java, C++, or similar
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and data modeling
- Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, S3)
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments
- Proven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results end-to-end
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Python in data or machine learning environments (pandas, numpy)
- Background in fintech, mortgage technology, or workflow automation platforms
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving ability with attention to edge cases
- Product-focused mindset with emphasis on user experience
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Collaborative team player with low ego and high ownership
- Proactive in seeking feedback and sharing progress
Responsibilities
- Own full lifecycle development from database design to frontend UI delivery
- Build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex AI-driven decisions
- Design and implement scalable backend systems using Go and PostgreSQL
- Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate AI models into the core platform
- Ensure high performance, availability, and scalability across large data sets
- Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, documentation, and observability
- Improve system monitoring, logging, and overall production stability
- Partner cross-functionally with product and design teams to deliver user-focused solutions
