Fullstack Java/J2EE Programmer and Project Manager
About The Position
Develop software and maintain existing software programs on CG Roxane LLC’s Intranet and ERP (AS400 iSeries). Utilize Fullstack Java / J2EE to design and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs running Websphere Application Server on IBM I. Utilize iSeries programming languages CLLE/RPGLE/RLU to design and develop ERP software, applications and tools for our iSeries AS400. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science and engineering. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities and maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team using DB2-400 databases. Manage projects for information technology requests, working with users from start to finish; analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects. Design software systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Consult with other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance. Coordinate installation of software systems and determine system performance standards and monitor functioning of software systems to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, or security needs to determine best software configuration. Less than 5% domestic travel required.
Requirements
- Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 18 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation
