About The Position

Weâre looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join our Platform Developer Experience team. This group is passionate about building the best possible developer experience for Spotifiers and thousands of developers around the world. Youâll work on products used by other engineers every day â improving usability, reliability, and the overall experience of building at Spotify. Requirements

1+ years of experience working with TypeScript and Node.
Experience building or consuming GraphQL and REST APIs.
Familiarity with distributed systems and search design patterns.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping well-scoped features end-to-end.
Experience working with containerized tooling and debugging differences between local and CI environments.
Clear written communication skills and the ability to create structured, actionable documentation.

Nice To Haves

Experience building tools or platforms used by other engineers.
Familiarity with developer portals, plugins, or internal platform tooling.
Experience with MkDocs or docs-as-code workflows.
Exposure to GCP services related to artifact storage or content delivery.
Experience working with AI-assisted tooling, agent frameworks, or deterministic tool integrations.

Responsibilities

Help define and deliver Spotifyâs AI developer experience by authoring and evolving agent rules stored in-repo.
Enable dynamic context lookups through MCP-backed context services.
Contribute to skills and workflows that make agent behavior more repeatable and useful.
Build and improve the TechDocs platform experience, including supporting services and tooling such as MkDocs-based build containers and the documentation-serving backend proxy.
Build and operate developer tooling that is easy to adopt, including CLI-driven onboarding.
Debug and resolve issues across the stack, from local developer environments to CI pipelines, containerized builds, and cloud-hosted services.
Take operational responsibility for services and tooling owned by the team, which may include participating in an on-call rotation.
Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across Spotify to understand pain points and deliver improvements that scale across teams.
Promote sound engineering practices such as testing, incremental rollouts, reliability, and clear documentation.
