Position Summary: The Full Stack Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining both frontend and backend systems that support MFFU's proprietary trading platform, operational workflows, and future regulatory requirements. This role works across the entire stack—from React-based user interfaces to Django-powered APIs and services—ensuring systems are performant, scalable, secure, and reliable while enabling rapid product development and high-quality user experiences. The Full Stack Software Engineer collaborates closely with Engineering, Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to implement new features, optimize system performance, improve data integrity, and support MFFU's growth.

Requirements

• 4+ years of full stack engineering experience, preferably in fintech, trading systems, or high-scale SaaS environments.
• Strong proficiency in Django (Python) for backend development.
• Strong proficiency in React (TypeScript/JavaScript) for frontend development.
• Experience with RESTful API design, state management, and modern frontend tooling.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and database modeling/optimization.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Strong problem solving and architectural thinking across the full stack.
• High accountability, ownership, and urgency—especially during incidents.
• Excellent communication in a Slack-first environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong technical rigor.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Calm, analytical, and solutions-focused under high pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with payment system integrations is a good nice-to-have.
• Familiarity with high-availability systems and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development Design, develop, and maintain features across the full stack using Django (Python) and React (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs, database models, and frontend components.
• Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and adherence to engineering best practices across both frontend and backend.
• Frontend Development & User Experience Build responsive, performant React applications with modern patterns (hooks, context, state management).
• Implement clean, maintainable TypeScript code with proper typing and component architecture.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate requirements into polished user interfaces.
• Backend Development & System Design Design and maintain Django models, views, serializers, and business logic.
• Build systems capable of handling high throughput, low-latency data processing, and real-time event handling.
• Optimize database queries, implement caching strategies, and ensure efficient ORM usage.
