We are seeking a Fullstack Web Developer – Backend Specialization to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector. The Fullstack Web Developer – Backend Specialization will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced, Agile environment. This role emphasizes collaboration, learning new technologies, and contributing to architectural improvements to deliver solutions that align with mission goals.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software development.
Proven experience in back-end development.
Proficiency with TypeScript or JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with Node.js runtime environment and Express framework.
Strong knowledge of SQL syntax and query writing.
Expertise in API development, particularly with REST architectures.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP certification.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
TS/SCI clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience developing backend software applications/services.
2+ years of experience working within a microservices architecture.
Experience with front-end technologies such as React and Next.js.
Proficiency with testing frameworks and code quality tools, including Jest and SonarQube.
Experience implementing user authentication workflows, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools such as Sequelize.
Familiarity with JIRA, Git, and GitLab.
Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
Ability to understand and translate user requirements into actionable solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop backend software solutions using modern frameworks and technologies.
Design and implement APIs, including REST architectures.
Write efficient SQL queries and maintain databases.
Work with TypeScript or JavaScript in a Node.js environment, leveraging frameworks such as Express.
Analyze system needs and ensure solutions account for architectural and operational requirements.
Contribute to Agile development practices, including sprint planning and code reviews.
Mentor teammates and share knowledge of tools and techniques.
