About The Position

We are seeking Full Time X-Ray Technologist to serve a busy Urgent Care center in Bloomfield, NJ! The position requires the candidate to prepare patients for x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, exercise professional judgment, and provide essential patient care during radiology procedures. The technologist will obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by providers, including orthopedic images, triage patients, and provide basic point of care testing after training. The role also involves assisting other staff members as needed and requires availability to work evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
• Diligent maintenance of QC records
• Diagnostic Radiography license with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• BLS through the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
• Exercise professional judgment and provide patient care essential to the radiology procedures
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by providers, including orthopedic images
• Triage patients, and provide basic point of care testing after training
• Assist other staff members (Certified Medical Assistants, Medical Office Associates, Providers) as needed
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends
• All other duties as assigned by Practice Operations Manager or Practice Administrator
