Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age per DOT regulations to operate the appropriate vehicle.
• Must possess a high school diploma or general education degree; and/or one to three months related experience and/or training.
• Able to read, write, understand and speak English.
• Display common sense, understanding, working knowledge of product codes and warehouse procedures.
• Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) Physical.
• All job offers are contingent upon successfully passing a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers and stack product in designated spaces in the warehouse.
• Count and record product and materials being unloaded from trailers to maintain an accurate inventory count.
• Pull Route Sales daily orders from stock and place the orders on pallets or track.
• Collect and organize reusable cardboard boxes from Route Sales people.
• Use a computer to enter records.
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
• Provide back-up assistance to the Branch Warehouse Manager for generating orders, scheduling, and directing job duty assignments for warehouse employees.
• Operate a Herr's straight truck vehicle to assist with out of stocks or deliveries 1-2 days per week and provide backup support during vacations for the regular delivery driver.
• Assist with route sales routes as needed.
