Full Time Tenure Track Faculty - Emergency Medical Services
About The Position
Lorain County Community College (LCCC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time, tenure-track faculty member to join the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program within the Health and Wellness Sciences Division. This faculty member will play a vital role in preparing future EMS professionals by delivering high-quality instruction across lecture, clinical, and laboratory courses. Additional responsibilities include curriculum development, program assessment, student advising, and engagement in college governance. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student success, evidence-based teaching practices, and professional growth. They must also be flexible and willing to teach evening courses as needed. While the primary work location is the LCCC University Partnership Ridge Campus in North Ridgeville, occasional travel to the main campus and outreach locations is required.
Responsibilities
- Teach across all EMS program courses, including lecture, clinical, and lab settings
- Track student progression through program and counsel students as needed
- Maintain regular office hours to support student learning and success
- Develop innovative, student-centered teaching methods to enhance engagement and promote certification success
- Provide mentorship and support to adjunct faculty
- Participate in curriculum development, assessment initiatives, and program review to ensure academic excellence
- Engage in accreditation processes and ensure program compliance with state and national standards
- Serve on program, departmental, and college-wide committees to contribute to institutional growth
- Stay current in the field by participating in professional development and continuing education activities.
