The Library and Information Science (LIS) Department in the School of Communication and Information (SC&I) at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, invites applications for two full time non-tenure-track positions, both of whom will teach in our thriving undergraduate program in Information Technology and Informatics (IT&I). One position focuses on Applied IT and Cybersecurity, supporting courses on topics including: Networks, servers, databases, and cloud computing; Applied HCI and interactive systems design; Data protection, information assurance, and cybersecurity. The other position focuses on Information Visualization, supporting courses on topics including: Information visualization, with an emphasis on visualization concepts and their application with the Tableau software suite; Data engineering fundamentals with Python and relevant libraries (e.g., numpy, pandas, airflow/prefect, etc.). The successful candidates will be appointed at a rank appropriate to their educational and work experience within the non-tenure-track teaching faculty title series at Rutgers. These positions are renewable.
