About The Position
Inspire Malibu is seeking a dedicated and certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor to join our team at our drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility located in Agoura Hills, CA. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals struggling with substance abuse. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Substance Abuse Counseling Certification and have a strong background in addiction counseling, with at least three years of experience preferred. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a team, and a commitment to adhering to company policies and procedures. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting group therapy sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and Relapse Prevention strategies. You will also be involved in case management, performing assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to the needs of each client. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting Urine Drug Screens (UDS) and Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) tests, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The position requires a flexible schedule, including the possibility of night shifts and weekends as needed. You will work closely with clients to provide support and guidance throughout their recovery journey, helping them to develop coping strategies and life skills necessary for long-term sobriety. This role is crucial in fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment for clients, and you will play a key role in their rehabilitation process.
