About The Position

As a Full Time Retail Department Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in executing our receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring that our team operates efficiently and effectively. Your primary responsibility will be to create an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean and organized store. You will be a role model for exceptional customer service, promoting a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality in all interactions. In this position, you will orchestrate truck deliveries, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, ensuring that all merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded. Communication is key, and you will work closely with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure an efficient flow of goods to the sales floor. You will monitor the productivity of your team, providing coaching and support as necessary, and will be responsible for organizing and rotating back stock for easy replenishment. Maintaining our merchandising philosophy and signage standards is essential, as is ensuring compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs. You will communicate effectively with management and Associates, providing updates on priorities and progress. Recognition and constructive feedback will be part of your daily routine, as you partner with management to identify training needs for Associates to increase their effectiveness. Adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures is a must, as is promoting our credit and loyalty programs and supporting store shrink reduction goals. Safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment will also be part of your responsibilities, along with other duties as assigned.
