About The Position

The Full-Time Ranked Faculty position in the Practice-Education Track at Johns Hopkins University is designed for a Nurse Anesthetist within the DNP Program. Requirements

• DNP (preferred) or Ph.D. in Nursing.
• National certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of Nurse Anesthetist.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in academic nursing education.
• RN licensure in the state of Maryland.
• Experience or commitment to working with a diverse faculty, student, and staff community.

Responsibilities

• Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enhanced learning strategies to facilitate student learning.
• Mentor students on academic and professional development, including career pathways and licensure preparation.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including publications and presentations to advance nursing knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge and skills in clinical expertise and advanced certification as appropriate.
• Serve as a role model for students by demonstrating exemplary clinical skills and ethical decision-making.
• Foster partnerships with healthcare organizations to facilitate clinical placements and promote interprofessional collaboration.
• Contribute to governance, leadership, and committee work within the School of Nursing and community groups.
• Participate in accreditation processes, program evaluation, and curriculum development to maintain program quality.
• Engage in community service activities and health promotion initiatives to address healthcare disparities.
